Obituary of Aaron Eugene Malone

Aaron E. (Jack) Malone, USN Retired January 15, 2015 Aaron E. (Jack) Malone, 88, formerly of Tiffany Court and St. Luke's Manor died Thursday at the Hospice Veterans Affairs Nursing Home, Plains Twp. He was born in Burlson, Texas, son of the late Lloyd and Minnie Walden Malone. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and Korea. His last duty assignment was Chief of Naval Operation. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne; past president Fleet Reserve Assoc. Br288; American Legion Post 0558, Plains; Life Member of D.A.V.; Life Member Veteran of Foreign Wars; National Ass. for Uniform Services. He was preceded in death by his wife the former Katherine Matkins. Aaron is survived by daughters, Katherine Lee of Yardley and Jacqueline Bellone of Silver Spring, MD. Grandchildren, Fleur, Tristan, Avalon, Madison, Skylar, Marie, Michael and brother, Winston Malone of Fort Worth TX. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne with Monsignor Vincent Grimalia officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call on Tuesday at the Funeral Home from 8:30 – 9:30 am. Arrangement are entrusted to the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett ST. Luzerne.
