Obituary of Diana C. Busch

Diana C. Busch April 7, 2015 Diana C. Busch, of Luzerne passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Kingston, daughter of the late John and Frances Korus Campas. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School, class of 1955 and she also attended King's College. Diana was a loving and caring wife to her husband Jerry. The couple recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on Feb. 7, 2015. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. She was a real estate broker employed in the family business Gerald L. Busch Real Estate. She was a member of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Association of Realtors. Her and her husband owned and operated a family owned business called Busch's Happy Corner and a food service business called Super Sub. Diana was an avid writer and wrote many articles for the local newspapers. She loved to paint, play the piano, trips to the Jersey shore with her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren sporting events. She enjoyed being part of many book clubs and writers groups. She is preceded in death by her brother George Campas and Stephen Furkes. In addition to her husband Jerry, She is survived by her sons, Jerry and wife Alicia of Luzerne; Chris of North Carolina; Pat and wife Judy of Kingston. Grandchildren, Nicole and Jerry (Jake); step-granddaughter Ellen Siracuse; sister in laws Sue Hrobak and Patricia Emery both of Ashley; brother in law Raymond Busch of Plymouth; plus numerous nieces and nephews. Diana lived with Myasthenia Gravis, the family request no flowers and memorial donation can be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association. Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:30 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Interment will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery, Larksville. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the CCU nursing staff at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and physicians and the nursing aides who took care for her at home.
