Obituary of Ann Krznaric

Ann Krznaric, 91, formerly of Kingston, passed away Thursday afternoon at home in Annandale, Virginia with her daughters by her side. Born September 9, 1924 in Luzerne, Ann was the daughter of the late Mary and Frank Guchanas. She attended Sacred Heart School and Luzerne High School before marrying the love of her life, the late Paul Krznaric. They resided on Price Street in Kingston for 48 years before moving to Northern Virginia to be near their children. Ann spent most of her adult life working as a waitress at Gus Genetti's Hotel and Tony Perugino's in Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and of the former Sacred Heart Church, both in Luzerne. Ann will be remembered for many things but most especially for her faith in God, her heart of gold and her loving devotion to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband for 66 years, Paul; her sister, Mary Witt; her brother, Frank Guchanas; her son-in-law, Richard McSpadden; her grandson, Franklin McSpadden. She is survived by her 3 children, Paul (Jeanne), Fort Meyers, Florida; Anne Marie Kearney (Ed), McLean, Virginia; Toni McSpadden , Annandale, Virginia; 7 Grandchildren, Kelly and Eric Krznaric; Brian, Carolyn (Stone) and Brendan Kearney; Janie (Rutherford) and Thomas McSpadden; 11 great grandchildren; her sister, Lillian Thomas of Kingston; Olivia Parker and Andrea DeVito who helped care for her the past few years. Friends may call at Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, 568 Bennett Street, Luzerne, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday in Holy Family Church. Father Kevin Nadolski, OSFS, a dear friend of the family, will be celebrating. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle.
