Obituary of Thomas W. Shook

Thomas W. Shook November 20, 2016 Thomas W. Shook, 64, a longtime resident of Swoyersville, passed away at his home on Sunday. Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Donald and Catherine (Shirley) Kotch Shook. Tom was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and Luzerne County Community College, where he received a degree in Applied Science. He was employed by the Nicholas Trucking for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife the former Paula Chmura. Surviving Tom are his daughters; Tonya Shook Hendrickson and Dawn Shook; grandson Brody Thomas Hendrickson; son-in-law Shane Hendrickson; sister, Janet Shook – Cull; nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held at the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne on Friday Nov. 25, from 6 – 8 pm. Interment will be St. Mary's Cemetery, Plymouth.
