Obituary of Alice Novitski

Alice Novitski September 29, 2017 Alice Novitski slipped away peacefully on Friday at the Mercy Center Nursing Unit, Dallas. Born in Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Kozokas Zurinski. Alice devoted her life to her family and her late husband, John. She enjoyed gardening, reading and playing cards. For a time she worked as a caregiver to young children and later at Penn State Belt and Buckle with her husband. She enjoyed visits in her county home with relatives and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Symons of Lehman; Jill Spencer and husband Scott of Lehman; sons, John Novitski, Jr. and wife Terri of Trucksville; Jeffrey Novitski and wife Lori of Sweet Valley; Joel Novitski and wife Renee of Dallas, nine grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am at the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne with a Mass of Christian burial a 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne with Father Walter E. Jenkins, CSC officiating. Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Lehman. Friends may call on Monday from 5-7 pm.
