Obituary of John Bugdonovitch

John Bugdonovitch December 22, 2017 John Bugdonovitch, 77, of Pringle passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Walter and Anna Simons Bugdonovitch. He graduate in 1958 from Luzerne High School. Prior to his retirement, he was owner and operator of ST&M Supply Company, Kingston. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne; past President, Vice-President and Secretary, for the Luzerne Lions Club and Eye Bank. He was also a 4th Degree Knight for Our Lady of Czestochowa Council. John was preceded in death by brothers, Walter and Edward Bugdonovitch; sisters, Mildred Lukatchik, Marcella Madden. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, the former Barbara Stachowski; daughters, Barbara Ann Price and husband John, Mountain Top, Brenda Glynn and husband Jonathan, Mountain Top; son, John J. Bugdonovitch and wife Carolyn, Nanticoke; grandchildren, Abigail and Payton Glynn, Madelyn Rose, Benjamin and Evan Bugdonovitch, Logan and Jacob Price; also a sister, Anna Bugdonovitch, Kingston. John was a recipient of a heart transplant on October 17, 2002 at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia. He was an active member in the Gift of Life Donor Program. In his honor, donations can be made to the Gift of Life Family House 401 Callowhill Street Philadelphia, PA 19123. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Erwine Home Health and Hospice at Wilkes Barre General Hospital for giving John care and comfort during this difficult time. The funeral for John will be held on Wednesday, December 27th at 9:30 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, with Father Walter Jenkins officiating. Interments will be in St. Ann's Cemetery at later date. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 26th from 5:00-8:00 pm.
