Obituary of Anna E. Karalunas

Anna E. Karalunas February 2, 2012 Anna E. Karalunas of Swoyersville passed away on Friday at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Swoyersville she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Saypack Kolesky. She attended Swoyersville schools, worked for many years in the garment industry. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne and the International Garment Workers Union. She was preceded in death by husband Raymond; son, Raymond; brothers, Frank Kolesky, Joseph Kolesky and sister, Helen Pega. Surviving is her daughter Jean Karalunas with whom she resided; son, Ronald Karalunas and wife Pamela of Jenkins Twp. Daughter-in-law Marianne Karalunas of Dallas; grandchildren, Randall Sirota of Colorado, Kaitlin Karalunas of Jenkins Twp., Cody Karalunas of Dallas; great grandchildren, Rachel and Ian Sirota. Sisters, Agnes Pelak of New Jersey, Marion Berilla of Dallas and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne with Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Swoyersville. There will be no call hours, friends and ask to go directly to church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne.
