Obituary of Sylvester Urbanovich

Sylvester Urbanovich December 1, 2013 Sylvester Urbanovich, 82, of Nanticoke PA, died peacefully at his home in the early morning hours on Sunday December 1st. Sylvester was born in Luzerne PA on June 29th 1931 to the late Edward and Helen Mikitinas Urbanovich. He attended Luzern High School and graduated in 1949. He spent the majority of his professional career at Rohm Haas, retiring there in 1981. He was preceded in death by his companion Helen Zucosky Sylvester is survived by his son; Mark Urbanovich of Marlton NJ; his two grandchildren; Matthew Urbanovich of Chester Springs PA, and Michael Urbanovich of Marlton NJ. He is also survived by his close companion Marie Swicklik, with whom he lived with and loved for the past 16years. Sylvester was welcomed into Marie's family and will be missed by her daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Gary Sagan; as well as her grandchildren Gary Sagan and Amanda Moran; and her great-granddaughter Sophia Moran. Sylvester was also survived by his first wife Josephine Adamo Urbanovich whom he was married for 36 years. Services will be held Wednesday December 4th at Holy Family Parish in Luzern PA. Friends and Family are asked to arrive at the church at 9:30AM as mass will begin by 10:00AM.
