Obituary of Robert Sweetra

Robert E. Sweetra December 5, 2013 Robert E. Sweetra, 82, of Kingston passed away on Thursday Dec. 5, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Luzerne he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Savakinas Sweetra. He was a graduate of Luzerne High School. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Eastern Penn Supply and later was the custodian at St. Ann's Church, where he was also a member. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign War Anthracite Post, Kingston. He was preceded in death by son, Bobby Sweetra; sister, Connie Killeen and brother, Raymond Sweetra. He is survived by his wife the former Helen Andruskevich; son, Anthony Sweetra of Kingston and brother, John Sweetra of Luzerne. Funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne.
