Obituary of Anna Slapar

Anna Slapar December 31, 2013 Anna Slapar, 89, of West Wyoming passed away on Tuesday Dec. 31, 2013 at Dunmore Health Care Center, Dunmore. Born in Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Justina Zapotsky. She was a graduated of Luzerne High School and prior to her retirement she was employed as a technician for Western Electric in New Jersey. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. She loved to go to Atlantic City with her sisters. She was preceded in death by sisters Rose Stelma, Mary Emerick, Helen Lane, Irene Kruger and Pauline Dane. She is survived by her husband Rudolph and many nieces, nephews, great neices and nephews,great-great neices and nephews. Funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with Rev. Michael Zipay Officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Dallas. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 PM at the funeral home.
