Joseph A. Novak April 11, 2014 Joseph A. Novak, 94, formally of Luzerne passed away on Friday at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Kingston, son of the late John and Anna Miklish Novak. Attended Pringle High School, prior to his retirement he was employed by Sordoni Construction for thirty years. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Knights of Columbus Assumpta Council #3987 of Luzerne, and Forth Degree Our Lady of Czestochowa. He was known to relatives and friends as Uncle Joe. He was preceded in death by his wife the former Nellie Yearuseavich, brothers, George, John, Peter, Michael Novak; sisters, Martha Piazza, Mary Novak, Anna Jacolik, Helen Mollusky. He is survived by nephew Jim Novak, who regularly visited him at Riverstreet manor. Nieces, Marcella Mulhern, Frances Mollusky and other nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014, at 9:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish with Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-5 pm. Rosary will be resided on Sunday at 4:30 PM by the Knight of Columbus.
