Obituary of Robert S. Bellanca

Robert S. Bellanca February 13, 2016 Robert S. Bellanca, 75, of Kingston, passed away February 13 at Genesis Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Pittston, October 31, 1940, he was the son of the late Samuel and Helen Turanski Bellanca. Educated in Wilkes-Barre schools, he graduated from James M. Coughlin High School, class of 1958. Bob served 6 years in the US Armey Reserve. He was previously employed by the PA Liquor Control Board, retiring after 32 years serving as Liquor Store Manager in the Wilkes-Barre, Edwardsville and Dallas areas. He was a member and pass usher of Holy Family Parson Church, Luzerne. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by son, Robert A. Bellanca in 1988. He is survived by his loving family, wife of 49 years the former Mary Ann Laktasic Bellanca; children, Samuel J. Bellanca and wife Lisa, Forty Fort; Gina Weidow and husband Ed, Kingston; dear grandchildren, Samuel A. and Sophia Bellanca; brother-in-law Stanley Laktasic and nephews, Kyle and Connor, Albuquerque, NM. Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish Church, Luzerne. Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Lehman. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 pm.
