Obituary of Mildred Jane Smith

Mildred Jane Smith November 2, 2018 Mildred Jane Smith, 89, of Luzerne, passed away on Friday at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Fernbrook, daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Albecker Rittenhouse. Most of her life she was an employed as a seamstress in dress factory. She was a member of Luzerne United Methodist church and their choir and Luzerne Fire Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband David and son David Smith She is survived by son George Smith and wife Kimberle, Pringle; daughters, Barbara Davis and husband Philip, New York and Cathy Jones and Monica, Luzerne and daughter-in-law Debra Smith. Mildred was grandma to nine grandchildren and GG to nine great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00am at the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne.
