Obituary of Chester Dermako

Chester Dermako, 86, of Luzerne, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010,at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Plains Twp. Born in Swoyersville, he was a son of the late Leon and Natalie Ewasko Dermako. He attended Larksville Schools and is a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Walben Tool and Kanarr Industries, of Kingston, as a machinist. Chester was preceded in death by a sister, Amelia (Emily) Gunshore. Surviving are brothers, Edmund Dermako, Lake Hiawatha, MJ, and John Dermako, and a sister, Joann Brzoska, Sweet Valley. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday at Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, 568 Bennett St., Luzerne with the Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call on Saturday from 10am until the time of the service. Condolences may be sent to sympathy@betzjastremski.com
