Obituary of Richard Rosenko

Richard Rosenko, 48 of Luzerne passed away Thursday March 24, 2011 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley after a ten month battle with cancer. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Richard was the son of Richard Rosenko Senior and the late Ann Bartorillo Rosenko. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne and attended West Side Tech High School. Richard was employed by the family owned business, Richies Auto Repair, Luzerne for over 30 years. "Richie" had a passion for restoring antique automobiles. Richie enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, darts and shooting pool. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and quick wit. Richie was married and survived by the former Mary Jane Johnson and they would have celebrated 18 years of marriage on June 5, 2011. In addition to his wife Richie is survived by son Ricky at home. Stepsons, Michael Milunic and fiance Jill of Wilkes-Barre; Anthony Milunic and fiance Racquel of Kingston; Johnny Milunic at home; stepdaughter Nicole Milunic and fianc Chris of Luzerne; granddaughters Riley and Alivia; grandson Gage. Brothers, Paul and his wife Romaine of Swoyersville; Chris, Clark, Brian all of Luzerne, also nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters in law and brothers in law. Funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, with Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 5-8 PM. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial donation be made to the family at the funeral home.
