Obituary of Daniel F. Adamchick

Daniel F. Adamchick November 9, 2012 Daniel F. Adamchick 81, of Forty Fort was taken to the good lord's eternal home on Friday November 9. He was born in Swoyersville, son of the late Adam and Elizabeth Humonosky Adamchick. Daniel was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the 109 Field Artillery from 1950 to 1952. He was a survivor of the 1950 train wreck in Coshocton, Ohio, where 33 service men were killer. Prior to his retirement he was employed at United Pants Inc. Swoyersville for 40 years, 16 as a machine operator and rest as a floor supervisor and on his free time he enjoyed watching Notre Dame Football. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne and a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus Assumpta Council 3987, Luzerne. Daniel was married for 55 years to the most loving wife in the world the former Alice Kuzma and though the bond of marriage and with their love has born two beautiful sons Paul and Michael who loved him very much. He is also survived by a daughter in law Clydine; grandchildren Elizabeth Ricart, Heather McCreary, David Adamchick and great grandchild Joshua Ricart; sisters, Marie Macey of Luzerne, Joan Neher of Hunlock Creek; brothers, Frank Adamchick of Northampton, Jerry Adamchick of Michigan and many nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne with Rev Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be at Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donation can be made to the charity of choice. The Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary Wednesday at 6:00 PM during the viewing. The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors, especially the nurses for dialysis for all the care and love they gave him threw his ordeal.
