Obituary of Walter L. Zimmerman

Walter Louis Zimmerman November 24, 2012 Walter Louis Zimmerman, born in Luzerne on 15th day of October, 1946 son of the late William and Beatrice Whitson Zimmerman went with the Lord on the 24th day of November, 2012 at the age of 66. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of the Army National Guard. He was a loyal and dependable employee of Offset Paperback for 34 years. Walter was a loved and respected man who had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends fishing, hunting and playing darts. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Beatrice Barber, Doris Derby, Laura Lagrue and Harry Zimmerman. He is survived by his loving wife the former Donna Preston and was a loving father to Kimberly Williams, Matthew Zimmerman and Paula Zimmerman. Walter was the youngest of seven children and leaves behind his brother John Zimmerman of New Milford; sister Betty Southern of North Carolina and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on December 15, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Bennett Presbyterian Church in Luzerne.
