Obituary of Alan Joseph Yenalevitch

Alan Joseph Yenalevitch January 30, 2012 Alan Joseph Yenalevitch, 51, of Luzerne passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday morning. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Albert and Anna Wallace Yenalevitch. He was graduated for Wyoming Valley West and prior to his disability work for different restaurants of the area. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Alan would be best remembered as a devoted son. Alan took great care of his mother during her later years and his devotion to her was admirable. We are all comforted that they are blessed to be reunited. Alan was as devoted to his faith and attended church at every opportunity. His faith sustained him through a lifetime of complex medical issues, which he endured with little complaint. Alan was born and raised in his home in Luzerne, building many enduring friendships within his community. He was an avid fan of wrestling and enjoyed outings with his family. He particularly enjoyed his trips to Knoebel's and the Bloomsburg Fair, a highlight his year. He has always been proud of his nieces and nephew and was known to always have family photos on hand, he will be deeply missed. He is survived by sisters, Karen Ondash of Edwardsville, Jean Kondrosky of Shickshinny, nieces and a nephew. Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett ST. Luzerne with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish, Luzerne with Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Dallas.
