Mary E. Krall, 89, of Luzerne passed away peacefully on Monday Sept. 30 at her home.
Born on January 25, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mildred Blaskovich Radage. She graduated from Luzerne High School in 1943 and was employed in a defense plant in Connecticut for one year during the war. Mary was a skilled seamstress and worked in the local garment industry for many years, her last employment being the Lori Charles Dress Factory. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Mary was an avid bowler and bowled for many years with the ILGWU bowling team and also with the Swoyersville Women's League.
Mary was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Church in Luzerne and is currently a member of Holy Family Parish in Luzerne. She was an officer in the St. Monica's Mothers Club and served on many church committees over the years.
Throughout her life, Mary was hard-working and continuously busy. Even after her retirement, Mary continued to sew for family members and friends and often donated her beautifully sewn or crocheted items to various church organizations, nursing homes and charities. She was always generous with her time and her talents, especially with her sewing and baking skills. Mary's happy disposition, generous nature, inner strength, beautiful sprit and sense of humor will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Mary was married in 1946 and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, George A. Krall, who passed away on March 30, 2013. Also preceding her in death, besides her parents were brothers, Peter, George, Michael and twin brother Steven and sisters, Catherine Machak and Ann Pisarewicz.
