Obituary of Walter Kolesa

Walter Kolesa, Sr. October 2, 2013 Walter Kolesa, Sr., 80, of Luzerne passed away peacefully Wednesday Oct. 2 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. Born in Wilkes-Barre, son of the late Joseph and Bertha Podgorski Kolesa. Prior to his retirement he was self-employed as Walts Widow Cleaning Service. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. He was preceded in death by brothers, Chester, Henry, Joseph, John and sister, Sophie Kolesa. He is survived by his wife the former Margaret Olenik; children, Marie Kolesa of Luzerne; Walter Kolesa Jr. and wife Jayne of West Wyoming; David Kolesa of Luzerne; grandsons, Brian and Keith and his little pet dog Toni. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne with Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming. There will be no call hours. The family would like to thank Commonwealth Home Service & Hospice for their care and many thanks to the staff and nurses of Riverstreet Manor.
