Obituary of Florence Bagonis

Florence (Fran) Bagonis December 15, 2013 Florence Bagonis, 89, formally of Luzerne Towers passed away on Sunday at Kingston Health Care, Kingston. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine Domant. She was raised in Swoyersville and attended Swoyersville Schools. She resided in Luzerne most of her life. Was a member of Holy Family Parish and its Altar and Rosary Society in Luzerne. She worked at Consolidated Tobacco in Wilkes-Barre and American Tobacco in Mountain Top. Florence was a wonderful cook and baker; loved bingo and playing the lottery. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Peter P. Bagonis and her daughter Carol Harris. Brothers, Charles and Joseph Domant; sisters, Helen Graham and Julia Krintz She is survived by son, Daniel Bagonis and wife Linda of Kingston. Two grandchildren, Amber in California and Danielle in Maryland. Funeral will held on Thursday at 9:30 AM from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne with Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
