Jean H. Rydzewski, 76, of Kingston passed away on Saturday morning at the Meadows Nursing Home, Dallas.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, daughter of the late Louis and Helen Brown Volker. She attended Kingston Schools and prior to her retirement she worked as a waitress in area restaurants. She was a member of Luzerne United Methodist Church.
Jean was a devoted mother and grandmother who brought as much joy to her children's lives as they did hers. She will be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humor, generosity, sassy style and larger than life personality.
She was preceded in death by her son Daniel whom she missed dearly and a sister Marion Saitta.
She is survived by a daughter Heidi Domzalski and husband Edward of Shavertown, granddaughters, Kara and Lauren, who were the light of her life; a sister Edna Disano of Mays Landing, N.J. and nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne with Pastor Carol Coleman officiating. Interment will be in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
