Obituary of Anna Gushanas

Anna Revak Fetsco Gushanas July 7, 2014 Anna Revak Fetsco Gushanas of Luzerne passed away very peacefully on July 7, 2014 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lopez on March 15, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Wasil and Ella Revak Fetsco. She was a lifelong home maker, raised six children. Anna was a wonderful wife, mother and friend to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by all. She was a member of both Holy Family Parish and St. Mary Byzantine Church in Kingston. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael T. Gushanas on Feb. 11, 2005. She was also preceded in death by brothers Harry, Metro, William and Rev. John Fetsco and by her sisters, Helen Lavook, Mary Kolessar and Margaret Fetsco. Surviving are her children, Dolores Gushanas of Morris Plains, N.J.; Michael T. Gushanas, Jr. at home; Maria Gushanas of Maplewood, N.J.; Ann Marie Waters and her husband Robert of Piedmont, Cal.; Joseph J. Gushanas and his wife Faye of Harrisburg; Mary Theresa Morriken and her husband Joseph of Morris Plains, N.J. She also has grandchildren, Alexander Waters, Elizabeth Waters and Terry Morriken and a sister Julia Sabosik of Point Pleasant, N.J. Funeral will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Interment will be in St. Mary Byzantine, Dallas. Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:00 - 10:30 AM.
