Obituary of Eleanor Jane Rebarchik

Eleanor Jane Rebarchik August 6, 2014 Eleanor J. Rebarchik, 86, of Luzerne and the best mother in the world, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born Dec. 13, 1927 in Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Veronica Osick Horwatt. She was a graduate of Luzerne High School and while raising a family she went to work at the Duplan Silk Mill, Lazarus Department Store and Korals before retiring. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Frank; sons Frank, JR.; sisters, Marion Weaver, Louise Morika; brothers, George and Joseph Horwatt She is survived by her devoted daughter Ruth with whom she resided and received excellent care. Also survived by children, Robert Rebarchik of Lewes, Delaware; Lisa Hughes of Mountain Top; Patricia Bolesta of Sugar Notch; grandchildren, Frank, Christina, Michael, Jeffrey, Alyssa, R.J., Nicholas, Jillian; great grandchildren, Lilly, Everett, Christian and grand dog Ginger. Funeral will be held on Saturday at 1:30 pm from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 pm in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 - 1:30 pm.
