Obituary of Thomas S. Territo

Thomas "Cowboy" Territo, Sr. September 10, 2014 Thomas S. Territo, Sr. 88 of Luzerne passed away on Wednesday Sept. 10, at home surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was born in West Wyoming, son of the late Lorenzo and Josephine Territo. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II, serving on the USS Crittenden and USS Neville. Thomas work for Blue Coal and prior to his retirement 1n 1988 he work for Addy Asphalt. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne; American Legion Post 904 West Wyoming and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 542. The most important things to Thomas was his family, friends and cats. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was also an avid fisherman and storyteller. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years the former Lillian R. Stouchko Territo; brothers Joseph and Leonard Territo and sister Leona Territo. He is survived by children, Thomas S. Territo, Jr., at home; Lee Ann Erwine and husband Thomas, Luzerne; Diane Fenner and husband Boyd, Luzerne; Larry Territo and wife Tara, Luzerne, Matthew Territo and wife Alexis, Shavertown; Adele Marks and husband Frank, Sweet Valley; Lillian Territo, Luzerne; Jodi Territo and Fianc Mark Lynn, Clarks Summit; grandchildren, Thomas "JR" Erwine, Fred Erwine, Vaun Territo, Larry Territo, Jr., Cara Watson and husband Derric and great grandchildren, Peytin and Strat Watson. Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:30 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, with Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Lehman. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 pm.
