Obituary of Eleanor T. Dirner

Eleanor T. Dirner, 81, of Luzerne entered into Eternal Life on Friday March 18, 2011 at the Hospice of the VNA, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. Born on April 29, 1929 in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Josephine Skrypek Bonetski. She was a graduate of Plains High School, class of 1847. Prior to her retirement Eleanor was employed in the garment industry. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was preceded in death by husband James Dirner in 2000; sisters, Madeline Caladie and Sister Joan of Arc (Catherine); brothers, Edward Bonetski and Stanley Bonetski. She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Andrejko and husband John of Plains Twp and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call on Sunday from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donation can be made to Disabled American Veterans.
