Obituary of Barbara Knell

Barbara Ann Knell January 23, 2015 Barbara Ann Knell, 78 of Courtdale passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, peacefully in her home. Born in Swoyersville, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Stella Fronczkiewicz Oliphant. Barbara was a loving and caring sister, aunt, and godmother. She was a devoted animal lover and a host to dear friends. She loved spending time with her family and was an avid movie goer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Knell, in 2004, and nephew, John Dobias Jr., in 1996, brother-in-law, John Dobias, Sr., 1998, and sister Lurene Dobias, 2014. She is survived by her sister, Sheila Casey and husband, Russell, Swoyersville; Sandra Martin and husband, Tony, Swoyersville; and brother, Willard Oliphant and wife, Sharon, Kingston; Nieces and nephews, Barbara Dobias Gimble, Larksville; Sheila Marie Casey, Swoyersville; Colleen Ralston, Mountain Top; Heather McAvoy, White Haven; Will Oliphant, Kingston; Brian Oliphant, Kingston; Godchildren; Lurena, Larissa and Jonathan Gimble, Larksville; and several great nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations, in Barbara's name can be made to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 18612.
