Obituary of Ludwina D. Runta

Ludwina D. Runta, 84, of Dallas passed away on Tuesday at the Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Dallas. Born in Luzerne, March 2, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Yanulevitch Runta. She was a graduate of Luzerne High School and Luzerne County Community College. Ludwina worked for the Army Quarter Master Corps, Washington D. C. She also worked for the Pennsylvania Game Commission in Dallas as Administrative Assistant, for 37 years. She was preceded in death by sister Celestine Runta and brother, Joseph Runta, Jr. She is survived by a brother Robert Runta and wife Arlene Irene of Dallas, niece Susan Krzysik, husband Joseph and daughter Emma of Dallas; nephew Robert Runta, wife Nancy and their children, Matthew and Rachel of Perkasie, also cousins. A special thank you to Dr . Lanning Anselmi and the nurses and staff at the Meadows for the wonderful care taken of Ludwina. Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:30 AM from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, with Rev. Michael Zipay officiating.
