Obituary of Julia Bednar

Julia E. Bednar November 21, 2015 Julia Kazokas Bednar, 95, of Luzerne Towers passed away Saturday morning at home. Born, April 30, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Balonis Kazokas. Julia was employed by the local garment industry until her retirement. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne and International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Besides her parents, Julie was preceded in death by her husband Joseph; brothers, Joseph, William, Paul, Frank, Charles, Anthony; sisters, Helen Zurinski, Mary Leandri and Albina Kazokas. Surviving are her daughters, Maryann Voitek, Luzerne and Irene Williams and her husband Jack, Kingston; granddaughters, Heather Hubert and husband John, Hilary Williams, Lauren Gulbish, Kelly Williams, Sharon LeValley and husband Jon, Susan Voitek and fiancée Robert Parker; grandson Joseph Voitek and wife Tracey; great grandchildren, Jakob, Evan and Jackson Hubert, Bryce and Garrett Voitek, Julia LeValley and Holly Parker. Also several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc., 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne.
