Obituary of Elizabeth Hoyt

Elizabeth M. Hoyt March 8, 2016 Elizabeth Hoyt, 94, formerly of Luzerne, passed away on Tuesday at Manor Care, Kingston. Born in Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Fox, McCarthy. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a presser at O'Malia Laundry. She was a member of Holy Family Parish. Luzerne. She was preceded in death by husband Ralph Hoyt; brothers, James McCarthy, John McCarthy, Francis McCarthy, Richard Mahoney; sisters, Rachel McManus, Sarah McCarthy and Harret Shovlin. Surviving is a son Joseph Hoyt and wife Rose, Swoyersville; grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer Hoyt Lalli, Joseph Hoyt, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:30 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, West Wyoming. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
