Obituary of Amelia M. Balberchak

Amelia M. Balberchak August 5, 2016 Amelia M. Balberchak, passed away on Friday at the Meadows Skilled Nursing Home, Dallas. Born in Luzerne on September 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Moses and Columbia Sigismondi. Graduated from Luzerne High School and formally resided in Forty Fort for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Balberchak Sr., son, David Balberchak; brothers, Samuel and Edward; sisters, Irene Kryeszowski and Gertrude Petrilak. She is survived by son, Albert Balberchak, Jr., and wife Marcia, Plymouth; daughter, Carol Scaletti and husband Frank, Arizona; grandchildren, Patrick and Kyle Cummings, Benjamin and Zachary Balberchak. Sisters, Dolores Brown of Plymouth and Sarah Sicurella, Ohio. Funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish. Luzerne. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call on Monday from 8:30 – 9:30 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made to charity of donor choice.
