Obituary of Lillian H. Munley

Lillian H. Munley October 2, 2016 Lillian H. Munley (Aunt Lil), 92, of Swoyersville, passed away on Sunday afternoon, at Mercy Center in Dallas, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Swoyersville, the daughter of the late George and Josephine Przypiora Haduch. She was a graduate of Swoyersville High School. Prior to her retirement she was a beautician, operating her beauty shop in Swoyersville. Lillian was Swoyersville's first female council person. She was as active member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of The American Legion Post 644 of Swoyersville. Aunt Lil was a snow bird, traveling to her sister's in Arizona for many years. She was preceded in death by husband Anthony J. Munley; sisters, Genevieve Sarnak, Marge Budinger and brother, George Haduch. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Sugar Notch. There will be calling hours from 9:00 – 9:45 am in the Church.
