Obituary of Mary P. Murray

Mary Kennedy Murray October 27, 2016 Mary lived 103 years on this earth. The first of six children, born to John and Mary Riley Kennedy of Eley St. Kingston in 1913. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her husband George P. Murray and both her children, Patricia Murray Kubinetz and George P. Murray, Jr. Mary lived a full life and in her later years shared her love of gardening with all of the grandchildren. It was a special event getting the first tomato of the season! Mary is survived by ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandson and one great great great grandson, six generation in her lifetime. The family wishes to thank the Meadows staff for their care of our grandmother, she was a long term resident there. The funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, where George is patiently awaiting his bride. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home.
