Obituary of Helen M. Lavix

Helen M. Lavix January 2, 2017 Helen M. Lavix, 91, of Swoyersville, passed away on Monday at Celtic Hospice In-Patient Unit, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Swoyersville, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Matukonis Muscavage. She was a graduate of Swoyersville High School, class of 1943 and she was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew, brother, Leonard Muscavage and sister, Mary Koslosky. She is survived by daughters, Andrea Lavix, Bronx, New York; Marilee Olson and husband Gregory, Rio Grande, New Jersey. Grandchildren, Matthew Olson, Philadelphia; Christopher Olson and wife Stacey, Wildwood, New Jersey and great grandchild Garrett Olson. Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:30 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish. Interment will be in St. Mary Annunciation Cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call on Thursday from 8:30 – 9:30 am.
