Obituary of Wilma Guido

Wilma M. Guido January 14, 2017 Wilma M. Guido, 89, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 14, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Larksville, Wilma was the daughter of the late Martin and Susan Cvengros Zifchak. She graduated from the former Laketon High School, Harvey's Lake class of 1945 She was a member of Holy Family Parish (formerly St. John Nepomucene Church), Luzerne. Wilma was known for her wonderful baked goods and was an avid quilter. She was active in St. John Nepomucene Church, especially the Mother's Club and the church bingo. She was preceded in death by husband of 63 years, Bernard; son, Michael; brothers, John, Edward and Ralph Zifchak. She is survived by son, Martin of Shavertown, Thomas of Luzerne, Mark and his companion Phyllis Columb of Wilkes-Barre, David and his wife Jane of Vicksburg, MI.; five granddaughters, Susan Jenson and her husband Lance; Ann Guido; Sara Guido; Katherine Guido and Lisa Guido; two great grandchildren, Lance and Macy Jenson; also several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am. From the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Interment will be in St. John Nepomucene Cemetery, Courtdale. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 PM.
