Obituary of Lorraine J. Joseph

Lorraine J. Joseph March 29, 2017 Lorraine J. Joseph, 85, of Tiffany Court, passed away on Wednesday at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late William Savage and Johanna Piekutowski Savage. She was a graduate of Pringle High School and was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Lorraine was a very active member of the Altar and Rosary Societies of Saint Hedwig's Church and Holy Family Parish. She was preceded in death by brother, William Savage and sister, Johanna Phillips. Lorraine is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lawrence Francis Joseph; children, Linda Joseph and fiancé Paul Swales, Swoyersville; Terri Usher and husband Chuck, White Haven; Marianne Schwartz and husband Tom, Virginia; Lawrence Joseph and wife Lisa, Mountain Top; grandchildren, Gary and Chris Ostroski, Chuck Usher, Lori Artemik, Lisa Schwartz, Larisa and Marcus Joseph; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Landis Ostroski, Madison Ostroski, Aiden Artemik. Funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:30 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, with Rev. Joseph Elston officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
