Obituary of Helen J. Suponcic

Helen J. Suponcic, 90, of Luzerne passed away on Monday at Hospice Community Care, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna Killagan Novis. She attended Sacred Heart School; prior to her retirement she was employed by General Cigar for 25 years. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. She was preceded in death by her husband Edmund J. Suponcic in January 19, 2002. Brothers, William, James, Charles Novis; sister, Mary Gallagher and grandson Joseph E. Suponcic. Surviving are sons Edmund Suponcic and wife Patricia of Jersey Shore; James Suponcic and wife Linda of Luzerne; grandchildren, Cpt. Brian J. Suponcic, US Army serving in Afghanistan; Andrea A. Suponcic of Amsterdam; also many nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Holy Family Church, with Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
