Obituary of Richard John Prestas

Richard J. "Rick" Prestas October 10, 2017 Richard "Rick" Prestas, of Ashley passed away on Tuesday at The Gardens at Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Ashley, son of the late Steven J. and Eleanor Margaret Switzer Prestas, Sr. He was a graduate of Hanover Area, Rick was well-known florist designer for Flower World, RJP Flowers, Floristry By Carmen Bolin and Barber's in Nanticoke. He was a member of St. Leo's Church, Ashley. He is survived by longtime companion Mike Tesauro; brother, Steven Prestas, Jr, and wife Margaret, all of Ashley; also nephews John and Dave, Ceppa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Oct 16, at 10:00 am in St. Leo's Holy Rosary Church, Ashley. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne.
