Obituary of Theresa M. Kolesar

Theresa Marie Kolesar March 10, 2018 Theresa Marie Kolesar, 85, of Swoyersville, passed away on Saturday at Timber Ridge Health Care Center, Plains Twp. Born in Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Petzarek Zier, She was a graduate of Luzerne High School, and prior to her retirement she was employed by George Ann Fashions, Swoyersville and the cigar factory, Luzerne. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Swoyersville. She loved bowling, belonging to Wednesday Night and Thursday Night League and Saturday Traveling League, was a member of the National 600 Bowling Club, along with many others. She is preceded in death by husband Joseph Kolesar; brother, Joseph Zier. She is survived by daughter Jody Locascio and husband Joseph, West Wyoming; son, Jay Kolesar, Swoyersville; grandchildren, Lesley Locascio & family, Joseph Locascio & wife, Amanda Vitale and family, Caitlyn Locascio & family, Amanda Luckenbill & family, Angie Moser & family, Timmy Williams, Tiffany Kolesar & daughter, Jeffery Kolesar & family; thirteen great grandchildren and two more due to arrive this year; sisters, Maryann Gugliotti, Luzerne; Irene Samuels, Courtdale; also numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Swoyersville. Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery will be held at a future time. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. .
