Obituary of Helen M Jacolik

Helen M. Jacolik April 17, 2018 Helen M. Jacolik, 97, formally of Luzerne, passed away on Tuesday at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre with her family at her side. Born in Swoyersville, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Beny Hilla. Attended Swoyersville schools, worked in cigar factory and retired from United Penn Bank. Was a member of West Side Senior Citizens for over five years, was vice president for four years and sunshine lady for five years. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Jacolik and daughter Helen Theresa Jacolik; brothers, Joseph Hilla, Michael Hilla, Andrew Hilla; sisters, Mary Pangaro and Anna Walsh. She is survived by daughters; Josephine Herman and husband Robert, North Carolina; JoAnn Hardisky and husband Robert, Plymouth; son Joseph T. Jacolik and wife Margaret. Grandchildren, Barbara Bayne, Robert J. Herman, Robert J. Hardisky, Jennifer Roofner, Matthew Jacolik; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Elena Herman and brother John Hilla, Wilkes-Barre. Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, with Rev. Walter Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming. Family and friends may visited at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 pm.
