Obituary of Reginald Lukish
Reginald Lukish, 84, of Luzerne passed away on Thursday at Hospice Community Care, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Luzerne, he was the son of the late John and Susan Polchin Lukish. He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. He graduated from Philadelphia University of Science. For 14 years he was the owner/ operator of Lukish Pharmacy in Luzerne. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne; 4th degree member of Our Lady of Czestochowa, Luzerne; Past member of Luzerne Boro Council; Past President of Luzerne Lion's, 36 year member; Past President of Luzerne County Pharmacist Association; Past President of Luzerne County Pharmacist Association Bowling League.
He was preceded in death by daughter Diane Gottlieb and sister, Celeste Metz.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years the former Mary Brady.
Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 PM. Memorial donation can be made to Hospice Community Care 601 Wyoming Ave. Kingston.
