Obituary of Michael T. Gushanas

Michael T. Gushanas, Jr. November 20, 2018 Michael T. Gushanas, 83, of Luzerne, passed away on Tuesday at Winchester Gardens, Maplewood, New Jersey. Born in Luzerne, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Fetsco Gushanas. He had a bachelor degree from King's College and prior to his retirement, he was owner operator of Modern Electric, Luzerne. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne; IBEW, Kingston and the Knights of Columbus, Luzerne. She was preceded in death by sister Ann Marie Waters. He is survived by sisters, Dolores Gushanas, Morris Plains, NJ; Marie Gushanas, Maplewood, NJ; Mary Theresa Morriken, Morris Plains, NJ and brother, Joseph Gushanas and wife Faye, Harrisburg, a niece and nephew in California. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, interment will be in St. Mary Byzantine Cemetery, Dallas. Family and friend may visited on Tuesday from 9:00 to 9:30 am at the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne.
