Obituary of Catherine S. Szczepanski

Catherine S. Szczepanski December 25, 2018 Catherine S. Szczepanski, 92, formally of Luzerne Towers, passed away on Christmas Morning at the Manor Care, Kingston, Born in Edwardsville, daughter of John and Sophie Grulla, Wardzel, she was a graduate of Larksville High School, class 1945. Was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was preceded in death by husband Joseph; son, Michael, grandson Andrew and brother, John and Joseph Wardzel. She is survived by sons, Thomas Stepanski and wife Karen, Lehman Twp., Richard Szczepanski and wife Gloria, Bethlehem; grandchildren, Thomas Stepanski, Karen Soifer, Richard Jr., and Angela Dixon; great grandchildren, T.J., Job, Lilli Stepanski;, Alexis, Sophia Soifer, Tyler Szczepanski, Justin, Ryan and Kelsey Dixon; sister Theresa Clark and sister-in-law Geraldine Wardzel. Funeral mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, with Rev. Walter Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Courtdale. Arrangement are entrusted to the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. Luzerne, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial donation to be made to St. Vincent DePaul Kitchen. 39 E. Jackson St.-Barre, PA 18701
