My heartfelt sympathy to Johns family, as his classmate I have many great memories all through school and our adult lives. He was always very kind and helpful to me. I will most remember his many devilish acts and his instant humor. He leaves a large hole in our lives that we can never fill.

It was a shock, and then sadness as I read my friends obituary. Not only was he the best dentist I ever went to, he was a good friend over a 50 year period. He was a fun loving, kind heart man who has been taken from us too soon. Myself, and my family express their condolences to Joyce, John Jr. (Bullet), and the rest of the family.

I wanted to express my condolences on the loss of Doc. I am a former Fire Chief for Franklin Twp. having served our community for 14 years and he was always so gracious with us utilizing his land and pond for our training. Many times he came out to chat and just inquire as to how we were all fairing. We were blessed to have his financial support on many occasions as well. He made sure to not only contribute for the fund drive but Childrens Christmas Party, Halloween Treat Nite or whatever else we were holding. Truly a friend to the community, and to the Fire Company. Thanks for sharing him with us. My deepest sympathy on your loss. (Today is my Dad's birthday in Heaven) and reading Doc's obit reminded me of my Father. Perhaps they are chatting up there. I am a retired salesperson who called on Dr. Handley's office for over 15 years. The first time that I met him, he was very gracious and made me feel welcome. Over the years, if I wanted a couple of minutes of his time, to talk about a new product, or for whatever reason, he always made time for me. I really enjoyed talking with him about other non-dental related topics. He was a true gentleman, and one of my favorite customers. My deepest condolences to his son John, and the entire Handley. family.

I want to send my condolence to you and your family. I first knew John as a young boy. He lived next door to my grandfather and always showed neighborly love and caring to everyone surrounding his parents home. He continued to touch myself and my family's life throughout his career as a dentist. John was certainly and outstanding individual and I will always remember him in my prayers. Rest in Peace Doc.
