Obituary of Lillian Austra

Lillian Austra, 82, of Luzerne, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2010, at the Hampton House, Hanover Township. Lillian was a daughter of the late Martin and Anna Kukaitus Austra. She was born September 6, 1928, in Snowshoe, PA. She attended Luzerne High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at General Cigar for several years, then at RCA in Mountain Top for over 25 years. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, and did various volunteer work. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Helen Austra Anders; brothers, Joe, Charles and Elick Austra; and sisters, Theresa Williams and Alice Lewicki. She is survived by her grandson, Keith Martin Anders and son-in-law, Keith Anders, both of Utah; sisters, Helen Zekas of Luzerne, Olga Visco of East Hanover, NJ, Ketora Hann of Kingston, and Josephine McDermott, of Luzerne; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 11:30am Monday at Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne with a Mass of Christian burial at noon at Holy Family Parish, Luzerne.
