Obituary of Amy Mesaros Knelly

Amy Mesaros Knelly, 45, of Wilkes-Barre passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Hospice Community Care, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was a daughter f William and Elizabeth Butsick Mesaros. She was a graduate of West Side Technical School and a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Prior to being disabled, Amy worked as a chef at various restaurants. She also worked for Raymour & Flannagan and HCSC Corporation. Above all else, Amy will be remembered for her generous nature and loving spirit. Amy was passionate about all animals. She shared her life with her beloved pets, Dukie, Dixie, Sammy and Miss Kitty There were her constant companions and brought her great comfort and joy. Amy was an avid gardener and cook, and she loved the outdoors She found great pleasure in supplying family and friends with creative gifts from her garden. Surviving besides her parents, are a companion and best friend, Jeff Benford; brothers, William Mesaros of Brecksville, Ohio; Michael Mesaros of Walnutport, PA and Stephen Mesaros of Him Thorpe: sisters, Della Marie Koester, of Akron, Ohio; Anne Benton, of Spring City, PA; and Jennifer Harris of Wilkes-Barre Township. She was a loving aunt to 11 nieces and nephews. Amy met very good friends throughout the years including Jeanne and Mark Knelly. The funeral will be held at 9:30am Monday at Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, with the Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Lehman Township. Viewing will be on Sunday from 7 to 9pm. The family would like to thank Hospice Community Care for all their loving care.
