Obituary of Rose Ann Coar

Rose Ann Coar, 63, of Luzerne passed away Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Gregutis Balchus. She was a graduate of Luzerne High School, Class of 1964. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, past president and vice president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Luzerne Volunteer Fire Department and Women's Auxiliary of the Swoyersville American Legion. She is survived by her husband, Edward Coar, with whom she celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on April 19; a sister Bernadine Yuscellis, Shavertown; and a niece, Renee Williams, Florida The funeral will be held at 9:30 am Thursday from Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St, Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. at Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, with the Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Lehman. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
