Obituary of Leo Charles Yezilski
Leo Charles Yezilski, 92, of Prin gle, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2010, at the Wilkes-Barre Gener al Hospital.
Born in Syracuse, N.Y., he was a son of the late Felix and Michaellina Yablonski Yezilski and attended Lu zerne High School. He worked for 12 years as a miner at the Woodward Colliery, at the Hazard Wire Works making torpedo nets during World War II and prior to his retirement, he was employed by B. G. Coon Construction. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne and a former member of St. Hedwig's Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Wanda Jeziorsld; and brothers, Edward, Zigmond and John Yezilski.
He is survived by a daughter, Leo na Kuttenberg of Pringle; grandchil dren Christine A. Baker and hus band, David M. of Luzerne, Diane Thomas and husband, Keith of Jer sey Shore, Pa., Carl M. Kuttenberg and wife, Christine E. of Scranton; great-grandchildren David A. Baker, Brandon Baker, Emily Thomas, Benjamin Thomas.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Betz-Jastrem ski Funeral Home, Inc., 568 Bennett Street, Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne with the Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. In terment will be in St. John the Bap tist Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial dona tions can be made to Holy Family Parish in Leo Yezilski's name.
