Jim & I became fast friends in the first grade at Loveland St. school. Our friendship lasted thru the years. He didn't remember me the first time I saw him after he nearly died. The next time I saw him he hugged me and knew me.
He was forever imbedded in my family's memory when he showed up at my second grade Halloween party dressed as a woman. They laughed about it until the day THEY died.
Tom Edwards, a barber near his house loved him. Jim wreaked havoc at that shop. Tom loved to tell the story of when Jim, age about 8 or 9, ran in, grabbed a bottle of hair tonic and emptied it over his head, saying, "This is good panther piss!"
Jim had a unique sense of humor that made people laugh until their eyes teared.
I have not had contact with him for years, but I thought of him, and wondered where he might be, almost every day.
I am saddened to know where he is now, but he shall live in my heart and memory til I join him. Love you Jim, RIP.
