Obituary of Katherine R. Gushanas

Katherine Ruth Gushanas 90, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Tiffany Court, Kingston. Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Ann Miller Forsyth. She was a n active member of Hoy Family Parish, Luzerne. Katherine's love and devotion for her church were a blessing to all she prayed for. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Joseph Gushanas; and sisters, Laura and Elizabeth Forsyth. Katherine is suvived by many nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held at 9:30am Thursday at Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, 568 Bennett St., Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Holy Family Parish, Luzerne with the Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call from 8:30am until the time of the service on Thursday.
